- Wide Receiver Wes Welker is leaving the New England Patriots to join forces with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos signing a two year deal thus putting the rest of the NFL on notice that this dynamic duo will be putting on a show at Mile High Stadium next year.
- The Miami Dolphins signed Mike Wallace from the Steelers for a five year deal worth $65 million. Wallace more than fulfills the Dolphins’ stated goal of wanting to get play-makers this offseason. He will be a valuable deep threat for quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
- Former Heisman Trophy Running Back Reggie Bush….actually he gave the trophy back…..will leave the sunny beaches of Miami to move up to cold and snowy Detroit to play with the Lions and Matt Stafford. They need him.
- Big Glenn Dorsey was the first round draft pick for the Chiefs just 4 years ago. The former All American Defensive Tackle from LSU will be playing for the San Francisco 49ers next year.
- The Saints lost formidable offensive lineman Jermon Bushrod due to salary cap considerations to the Chicago Bears. Bushrod will fill the much needed job of keeping Quarterback Jay Cutler from being sacked quite so often.
- Faithful Drew Brees backup quarterback Chase Daniel will go to Kansas City to be the backup for newly signed Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith.
- Former Raven’s pass rusher Paul Kruger lands in Cleveland with the Browns. Kruger begins his fourth year in the NFL and had a career-high 9.0 sacks last season.
- Rashard Mendenhall is a journeyman running back from the University of Illinois with 4 years in the NFL. He saw limited action last year with the Steelers due to an ACL injury the year before. He will rejoin head coach Bruce Arians in Arizona to give the Cardinals the much needed run threat that they have been lacking so badly.
- Minnesota has given up on Wide Receiver Percy Harvin. He will go to the Seattle Seahawks and team up with Russell Wilson. Harvin played for Urban Meyer at Florida and then with the Vikings for three seasons.
- Tight End Martellus Bennett will be leaving the Giants to go play with the Bears in the windy city of Chicago. Bennett fits almost exactly the description that Bears tight end coach Andy Bischoff asked for. He will be a valuable short pass threat for quarterback Jay Cutler.
