Mark Sanchez of the New York Jets has been benched for the last two games of the 2012 season after a terrible game against the Tennessee Titans. Sanchez was picked off 4 times and threw for a paltry 131 yards on Sunday. He had 111 the week before against the Jaguars and just 97 against Arizona the week before that. Time to sit down Mark.
Anticipation was high that we would finally get to see Tim Tebow….. I mean, after all of the hype, it would be nice to see if the guy can really play in the NFL.
But no, next Sunday we will see second year quarterback out of the University of Alabama, Greg McElroy as the starting quarterback for the Jets.
Perhaps Sanchez should start looking around for another place to play football.
On Monday night against the Titans, after the worst outing of Mark Sanchez’s NFL career, the Jets quarterback also had his life threatened by an irate Jets fan, through Twitter.
Tim Tebow has got to be chomping at the bit to get out of New York. After being passed over once again by Jets head coach Rex Ryan to start for the team following Sanchez being benched, Tebow appears to have every right to be gone from there. He is a Florida guy and if fortunes work out well for him, he may just end up there. I mean, he is a local hero down in the Sunshine State. The fans love him there….and it is getting very cold way up there in New York. Remember, Tim Tebow was born in the Philippines! Don’t the Dolphins need a Quarterback?
One journeyman Quarterback has already come out of the 2012 season smelling like a rose. MATT FLYNN was the quarterback on the 2007 National Championship Team at Louisiana State University under Coach Les Miles. After a brief trip down to Miami to meet with the Dolphins, Matt has just signed a 3 year deal with the Seattle Seahawks that guarantees at least $10 million and could go as high as $26,000,000. Not a bad deal for a guy playing back up to Russell Wilson, who is defiantly in the running for the NFL Rookie of the Year Award. Coach Pete Carroll has made a smart move by keeping a solid, dependable quarterback like Flynn ready to go on the sidelines, just in case.
