We finished Week 9 with not only great individual performances but also team efforts, the second half of the season and still three undefeated teams remain.
The Carolina Panthers
They cleared even more doubts by beating the mighty Packers, showing great game overall and a lot of strength. Nobody believed they were going to be able to keep the undefeated record after their game against Green Bay, but gave them their second straight loss, the Panthers have been proclaimed as the best team in the NFC, and indeed remains the only undefeated team in the conference.
Marcus Mariota – Titans QB
Maybe it was not all Ken Whisenhunt fault, perhaps much if it was his fault, but just a week after his departure, the Titans won again and the rookie QB looked very different than he did in recent weeks, obviously he looked healthier. Mariota managed to pass for 371 yards and four touchdowns, his best performance in the NFL since back in week 1.
DeAngelo Williams – Steelers RB
Injuries have been a constant this year for the Steelers, a hard constant. With Bell Le’veon out for the season, doubts arose but Williams -just as in the beginning of the year- destroyed the Raiders with 225 total yards and a couple of touchdowns. the void from Ben Roethlisberger absence is going to be felt, but the former Carolina player is making Bell a thing of the past.
Antonio Brown – Steelers WR
One of the only still healthy players the Steelers have left, Brown remains one of the best WRs in the league and proved it by shattering the Raiders with 17 receptions for 284 yards, also ran for 22 yards on two carries, his total yardage was higher than that of 4 teams, Redskins, Jets, Vikings and Falcons, a spectacular performance.
