Another chapter is closed in the Eagles franchise history, the experiment of bringing Chip Kelly and his offensive schemes to the NFL were negative, now the Philadelphia Eagles have to turn the page and start looking for a head coach who will conform to what the franchise wants, and not vice versa.
The good thing about the 2015 season for the Philadelphia Eagles:
Clearly a sensitive issue, the mandate of Chip Kelly left many things to fix and in view there is not much in the positive side, perhaps Fletcher Cox is one of the only highlights, with 9.5 sacks on the year is now one of the most dangerous in place, nevertheless the Eagles backfield has great potential. Another point that highlights are the special teams, Darren Sproles is extremely dangerous, while Caleb Sturgis and Cody Parker makes this group an asset.
The downside of the 2015 season for the Eagles:
Chip Kelly’s offense in general, simply never understood what his head coach wanted, Sam Bradford was the least likely to command this scheme, it never was a keeper, defenses could put all their attention on the RBs. We also found that Kelly system may not work in the NFL and the franchise will have to take a few years under reconstruction to return to the top of their division and the NFL.
Eagles season ended when…
Belonging to the worst division of the NFL has its advantages, the Eagles had a lot of life, even more life than most in 2015, they were leaders of their division sometime in the year, however mediocrity did his, at week 16 in the home loss to Washington was when luck and mediocrity was no longer on their side, the Redskins finally took the division and left out of the race both Philadelphia and the Giants.
2016 Eagles?
Not looking good, without a head coach to guide them. Patience is needed, but at the very least one or two years are needed to fix what was done and not done by Chip Kelly, whoever is the coach that arrives for the 2016 season, what is required is someone who imposes order, and Draft decisions and free agency come second to that.
Potential free agents:

Walter Thurmond – FS (28)
