The monster trucks will be flying and bouncing over at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas Friday and Saturday as the Monster Jam World Finals XIX takes place with the participation of 47 drivers.
The event, which attracts more than 55,000 fans, features breathtaking stunts and adrenaline-fueled racing. This competition is considered the perfect stage where the top monster truck drivers compete to win World Championships in the racing and freestyle categories.
The show begins at 6:30 p.m. each night, but the gates of the stadium will open at 4:30 p.m. two hours before the action starts.
There’s also a Pit Party each day where over 100 drivers (including special guests and finals competitors) will meet and greet visitors, sign autographs and get pictures with the fans. There will also be kids’ activities, opportunities to get a ride on a monster truck, and much more.
The Pit Party takes place on Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
On both days of the event, a monster truck parade takes place at 5:00 p.m. before the start of the show at 6:30 p.m.
Friday’s events include the Double Down Showdown and the Racing Championship, while the Freestyle Championship takes place on Saturday and the champion gets to be picked by the fans in the stadium voting via an app on their smartphones.
The Double Down Showdown features 16 world-class drivers competing to clinch the final spot and join 31 other championship contenders that will compete in the Monster Jam World Finals.
Ryan Anderson, driver of Son-uva Digger is the defending racing champion, while Lee O’Donnell, driver of The Mad Scientist is the defending freestyle champion.
