Let’s face it being a bookie for over the last 30 years, my life was turning into one big grind. Like a dog that constantly chases his tail it is sometimes hard to see what’s right there in front of you with your nose always to the grindstone!
My dad was an old time bookmaker, a neighborhood wise guy that people secretly admired as well as openly despised when it came to some of his of collection methods on people that tried to get over on him. Dad was a hard noised sports bookie and he was sharp with numbers and betting lines. He also had a degree from the school of hard knocks where he majored in street smarts.
Dad’s bookmaking routine never varied as he took bets day and night to him betting action was the name of the game. To his bettors Dad was always firm but fair; he collected like clockwork every Tuesday and paid every Wednesday. Dad’s bookmaking motto was fast pay makes fast friends and he never wavered from that!
Although my Dad hardly spent much quality time with the family we certainly never went without. Dad always seemed to maintain a client base of just over 100 players. He did most everything himself from answering the phones and taking bets, to paying collecting and always recruiting new players. Dad never had a favorite sports team but he did have most every sports hat and he always wore the team he was rooting for the most that day!
As I grew older and dad took me under his wing I learned all about the bookmaking business he would always say “this bookmaking business isn’t pretty but it pays the bills and you can be your own boss and son someday it will all be yours”. Well dad was right on all accounts when he passed away his bookmaking ledger which he hid under the house in a secret hiding place (that I still use to this day was up to day) was in perfect order. I immediately took over the bookie business right where Dad had left off and I continued without missing a beat up until I suffered a heart attack just two short years ago.
I told myself there has got to be a better way and then an old friend had told me about turnkey write shops for bookmakers called pay per head services. So I looked into these pay per head bookie services and what I found changed my forever. I found one in Costa Rica that not only freed me up from most all of the monotony. I even took a trip to Costa Rica and learned that I was putting up with a lot of bullshit in my relationship that I didn’t sign up for.
Being married and being a bookie there isn’t really time for both so choosing my profession of course my marriage suffered but I never had the time to do anything about it. But once I hooked up with a pay per head service I had a lot more free time to actually do some of the thing I wanted to do. I quickly noticed that my wife had turned into a bitter old woman who I knick named killjoy.
After my third trip to Costa Rica I hooked up with not one but two Latin girls 20 years younger than me. Shortly after doing so I had dumped killjoy and through my connections I got the two girls Visas!
They both moved to the states and we all currently still living together as one happy family and I live like a king, look out Hugh Hefner!
All thanks to pay per head services!
