Just for fun, let’s take a look at what the playoffs would look like if the regular season were to actually play out according to the odds posted in July.
The Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots would receive byes in the AFC. Then the Pittsburg Steelers, representing the AFC North, and the Houston Texans, of the AFC South would be hosting the first round playoff games. The Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens would squeak in as the Wild Card teams.
While ACF looks to be pretty easy to predict, the NFC playoff picture gets a bit more complicated as 9 of the 16 teams involved might just make it to the playoffs.
The Green Bay Packers probably stand the best chance and will likely go in as the top seed. Close on their heels would be the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks. The New Orleans Saints and the New York Giants get the nod to beat out the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Redskins and the Chicago Bears for the Wild Card spots.
