In spite of less than stellar performances in his last three outings, Tiger Woods continues to look good in the eyes of the wagering world. Although Tiger did show us a little of his old stuff during the opening rounds at Muirfield, he once again faded down to a tie for third place behind a brilliant performance by Phil Mickelson in the final round in Scotland.
Tiger was hot back in March when he won at Doral and then again at Bay Hill. He didn’t score big again until May when he took the Players Championship at Ponte Verda Beach in Florida. Since then it’s been pretty grim and even his most devout fans must be able to read the frustration on his face out on the links.
Beginning on the eighth of August and finishing on Sunday afternoon the eleventh, the great names of the golfing world will gather in Rochester, New York at the Oak Hill Country Club to compete for the Professional Golfers Association Championship… the PGA.
Oddsmakers are most likely looking at the fact that Woods has finished in the top six in at least two of the first three majors. Only 3 other golfers on the tour have done that, they are Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Jason Day. The betting public seems to still have faith that Tiger can pull it off at Oak Hill.
Here is a quick look at the current numbers being offered on some of our favorites.

A couple of numbers drawing early attention are Brendt Snedeker listed at 40-1. Snedeker has been up there in the running at the end of several majors of late and seems ripe to make a breakthrough. Possible long shot wager here.
Another is Jason Day way back at 25/33-1 who is poised to make a move and Jason Dufner at 40-1 who is due to take home a major in the near future.
