Nevada gets all the attention, but don’t forget wagering on sports is legal at Casinos and Racetracks in the tiny state of Delaware as well.
Actually the Delaware Sports Lottery tickets are sold throughout the state in a variety of retail locations such as bookstores, news-stands, sports bars and convenience stores they even sell them in pizza houses.
These outlets sell parlay cards on which the odds are fixed and the minimum wager is $2 beginning on Wednesday. However, off-the-board Parlay wagers may be made all week long at the Sports Books only.
The parlay offered here is a single wager that links multiple wagers. In order to win the wager, the player must win all the wagers in the parlay. If the player loses only one on the wagers, he still loses the entire bet. On the other hand, if the player wins all the wagers in his or her parlay, they win a higher payoff than if they had placed the wagers separately.
This year the Delaware Sports Lottery is offering a Totals wager to their parlay options. In making this wager the player must select the Over or the Under based on a figure set by the sportsbook handicappers for each contest. The combined points scored by both teams are added up to reach to total.
Totals will be included on the Half-Point Card, the Teaser and the Super Teaser Parlay Cards. The big $100 K Parlay Card will also offer selected totals on occasion. However, there will be no Totals-Only Cards offered.
Of all the wagering options offered in the State of Delaware, the Half-Point Parlay Card is by far the most popular with the betting public… as it is in Vegas also which offers payoffs ranging from 6.5 for 1 on a three-team parlay to 2,500 for 1 on a 12-team Parlay. All point spreads use half points, which eliminates the possibility of a push.
It is also possible to place wagers on Pro Football Championship Futures. The bet has been available since pre-season but the odds will fluctuate all during the season. Each wager is locked in to the odds available at the time the wager is placed.
Other wagering options offered in Delaware include the Teaser Card, the Super Teaser Card, the Reverse Teaser Card and the nice $100,000 Parlay Card where players will wager a mere $5 and select 15 games ATS. Pick all 15 and win $100K!
