Early on the Chicago Bulls Traded away Luil Deng and for the second year in a row the Bulls lose Derek Rose for the season due to injury. In spite of all that the Bulls just keep winning. Coach Tom Thibodeu needs to be considered for 2014 coach of the year for keeping his team in the hunt.
Bulls center Joakim Noah has been paying like a man possessed and is actually being talked about in the MVP conversations. Though he will have a tough time beating out the frontrunners it is a testament to his stellar play to be mentioned. The Bulls have been winning at .676 clip since January 2nd and are currently the hottest team in the NBA winning 7 straight and 9 of their last 10 games. The Bulls are playoff bound and currently sitting in the 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. If the NBA Playoffs started today the Bulls would go up against Washington Wizards in the 1st round.
The Bulls might not make the finals this year but the way they are playing no team will be able to take them lightly as they have an overall 11-5 record within the division and a 24-14 home record.
Miami and Indiana are currently in a back and forth dog fight for the # 1 seed in the East with Miami clinging to a ½ game lead after an Indiana slump. Indiana currently has the best home record in the East but they have picked a bad time for a letdown. Meanwhile the Atlanta Hawks are trying desperately to hold of the New York Knicks for the # 8 seed as all the other teams below them in the east have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
The Milwaukee Bucks ended up in the cellar in the East this year by only winning 15 games and going 10-30 at home the Bucks will need to make some major changes if they are to compete in 2015!
